What Are They?

Logo Signs are the eye-catching, blue motorist information signs that precede exit ramps. Signs display logos and directional information for businesses located on limited access highways and interstates.

Who Can Participate?

Logo Signs cater to a variety of businesses in Indiana. The five categories of these businesses are:

  • GAS​

  • FOOD

  • LODGING

  • ATTRACTIONS

  • CAMPING

The Types Of Signs
Mainline Sign

Appears along limited access highways and interstates, alerting motorists to what services are available at the approaching exit / interchange

Appears along exit ramps, informing motorists of direction and mileage to business if that business is not readily visible from the exit ramp

Ramp Sign

Appears along intersecting crossroads, informing motorists of direction and mileage if the motorist must make an additional turn after exiting

GAS, FOOD, LODGING & CAMPING

  • RAMP SIGN — $28 / month

Your Logo Panels Are ... Yours!

Indiana Logo Sign Group leases the space for your logo panel on blue background panels. The logo panels are your physical property. Thus, there is a one-time cost to fabricate and install those logo panels. This fee varies on several factors, and there are a number of approved logo providers to choose from.

Eligibility
General Requirements
  • SERVICES PROVIDED

  • OPERATIONAL HOURS

  • PROXIMITY TO INTERCHANGE

State and federal regulations limit eligibility within each of the five business categories. These regulations surround three, general components:​

GAS
  • Provide fuel, oil & water

  • Open at least 12 hours / day, 7 days / week

  • Be located within 2 miles of interchange / maximum of 1 turn off crossroad

  • Provide modern restroom / drinking water

  • Possess landline telephone (emergencies)

 

FOOD
  • Provide meal services at least 2 meals / day, 6 days / week to all ages

  • Provide minimum seating for 25 (indoor / outdoor)

  • Be located within 3 miles of interchange / maximum of 1 turn off crossroad

  • Provide modern restroom

  • Possess landline telephone (emergencies)

LODGING
  • Provide minimum of 10 rooms with modern sanitary facilities

  • Have gas and food located within 1 mile 

  • Be located within 4 miles of interchange / maximum of 2 turns off crossroad

  • Possess landline telephone (emergencies)

CAMPING
  • Provide at least 25 camp sites

  • Provide running water, drinking water, electricity

  • Be located within 15 miles of interchange (unlimited turns off crossroad)

  • Provide waste disposal and modern sanitary facilities

  • Possess landline telephone (emergencies)

ATTRACTIONS
  • Be of regional significance and open at least 6 hours / day, 5 days / week, 6 continuous months*

  • A substantial portion of visitors are tourists

  • Be located within 15 miles of interchange (unlimited turns off crossroad)

  • Provide modern public restroom facilities and drinking water

  • Have adequate, off-street parking for normal visitor demand

  • Possess landline telephone (emergencies)

  • Fit into one of 22 state-approved subcategories (click here for details)
